Male Fairy Wren’s have some of the most stand out colours in the Australian bird world! I was lucky enough to encounter this male and his family in my own backyard! I had just come home with a car full of groceries and I got so excited when I saw the blue feathers, I ran inside to get my camera!
Did you know male Wren’s are only blue for breeding season? The rest of the year they are grey with blue tails!
