Short beaked Echidna

from $20.00

Like a lot of Tasmanian wildlife, the Short beaked Echidna is slightly different down here compare to its mainland counterpart. Tasmanian Echidna’s are fluffer (because its colder), smaller (because most Tassie animals are slightly smaller) and have less spikes (because they have less predators).

This photo was taken on my very first trip to Maria Island in 2021, shortly after my very supportive but very much indoor preferring partner asked if we were likely too see any Echidnas because they are his favourite!

  • This is a landscape image!

Like all my prints these are made locally in Hobart and on recycled paper.

-All of my prints are shipped flat, unframed and in cellophane protective sleeves-
